Down Town Records has it's office and post-production facility in Dar-Es-Salaam. Our post-production facilities utilize all digital recording equipment, to ensure quality in out sound. The studio allows us to digitally master all recordings, record audio and mix commercials and public service announcement right on the spot. We also have the ability to make cd and cassette duplication for our clients.

Damian Luena - President
Is the main producer of Down Town and many prefer to refer to him as D-money. Damian started Down Town Records in 2002. He has produced over 50 songs that have been recognized by not only Tanzanians but East Africa too. His love for music sent him Djing for private parties in the U.S.A. which made him realize his love for it was bigger than he thought. He returned to Tanzania after his studies at Ohio State University to pursue music as a career.
On the team, we also have Guitarist and keyboardist A Rastal and Bonnie Kifentse working along side the producers to make music in Down Town Records what it is. We have also worked with a wide number of artists most that you have heard of, as you go through the site, you will get to listen to some of the music we make. You also get to know more about the artists themselves.
